ENGAGED
tyler planned a surprise engagement for me at a little cafe in our hometown called "life is sweet." thanks to the help of our families (my mom, sister, aunt, his mom, and sister were all in on the surprise!) it was a total & complete surprise! that night, he lead me to the front door of the cafe. we walked into a dimly lit restaurant, with a path of tea lit candles leading to a table set for two. i was still clueless! and he was adorable & nervous! we sat down...our sweet waitress came to our table with two menus & i was a rambling fool about how sweet & awesome tyler was for setting up such a romantic date! with a shaky voice *and trying to get me not to ruin the surprise* tyler said "hey allison, will you read the menu, please?. as i started reading, i found that the menu in my hands was all hand-written. the appetizers page was a list of reasons why tyler felt we went so well together. the entrees page was a list of wishes tyler had for us as a couple. and the desserts page was a list of final thoughts you had about us & our future. the last sentence on the page read "...but there is still one last thing I need to know" & as i turned that page tyler was down on one knee in front of me. he told me how much he had loved growing with me during the time we had spent together & that from that day on he wished to grow old with me & me only. without any hesitation, i said: "are you serious?! YES!"
