hi & nice to meet you, i'm allison.
i'm a 23 year old wife, wedding filmmaker, & mama of two cats- carl & ellie.
you'll probably read & see a lot of pictures about all of the things above way too often on here.
i graduated from morehead state university in may 2014 with my bachelor's degree in elementary education...
however, God has led me down a completely different path this year!
my husband & i jumped head-first into the world of weddings during the month of february 2014.
we said yes...never looked back...
& happy camper films was born!
in 2014 we filmed 17 weddings, traveled all over the state of kentucky, participated in three different bridal shows, found ourselves at several networking events with wedding vendors around our hometown, & we answered a lot...and i mean A LOT of emails.
basically we learned that we still have A LOT to learn. we will always have A LOT to learn.
we're going on our second full year in this business & we are so much more confident in who we are, what we stand for, & where we envision ourselves going with happy camper films.
we have a crazy schedule for 2015 & we understand full well that the Lord can & will use us in mighty ways!
so, we remain ready for whatever He may throw our way!
i am a very old soul.
you will find your grandma's vintage pyrex being used in my kitchen & her knitted quilts being displayed throughout our home. i prefer used over new & vintage over modern.
i love things that have character & a story behind them.
i'm a big fan of pastel colors.
our kitchen & home is decorated in shades of pink. & turquoise. & yellow. & whatever other color i can sneak into the home without my husband noticing. ;)
color makes me happy!
i love to bake & my husband is an amazing cook.
we kind of complete one another.
speaking of that guy, i have some fierce love for him.
marriage is a passion of mine that you will read about a lot throughout this blog.
but i'll try not to gross you out with all the mush.
just bare with me because we can all get carried away at times, ya know? i promise i don't mean to make you gag when i say i wanna kiss my husbands face off at times! *smirks*
i'm happiest on crisp, fall days. or in the mountains. or exploring a big city.
we believe in adventuring. just packing up & going.
we spend about 75% of our lives in our car & we kind of love it.
let's binge watch netflix together, drink some hot tea, make pom-pom garlands, eat macarons, talk life, God, love & be best friends. what do ya say?!
